Travelbug Rose is a road tripper of the roads less travelled, an off-the-beaten-track wanderer and explorer of paths rarely discovered. Come along as I uncover forgotten places and reveal the hidden stories of Southern Africa, whether on foot, horseback, bicycle, or in my little car.

Armed with a camera, a backpack and an inquisitive mind, I set out to discover the culture, history, food and fascinating stories that make this incredibly diverse region so unique. Every journey is an opportunity to connect with the people, places and heritage that often go unnoticed.

As a proud inhabitant of South Africa’s Garden Route, I have spent years exploring its forests, coastlines, mountain passes and small towns, while also venturing further afield in search of authentic experiences. Through photography, storytelling and destination marketing, my aim is to inspire travellers to venture beyond the obvious and discover the remarkable places waiting just around the next bend.
